Trouble removing the Sail Panel in 2001 Honda Civic Sedan

Hey guys,

Having trouble removing the sail panel in my 2001 Honda civic sedan.
I'm trying to get it off so i can replace the front speakers.

Also, i bought some splits but I'm kind of regretting it, seems pretty difficult to mount the tweeter in the sail panel. Any tips or ideas on this? Or maybe somewhere else to mount the tweeter?

So yeah how do i get the darn sail panel off, i can get it almost completely off but there must be something holding it at the back. Cause the plastic starts to bend in the middle leaving pressure marks.

Oh and btw I'm really enjoying browsing through the forums, great site!
Thanks guys

It should move up and back and pop off after you take the inner panel off.

Ahh ok, so I have to take the door panel off before I take off the sail panel? Cause I was reading a DIY that said take off the sail panel first.

Could you maybe send me a link on a diy for taking off the door panel or similar?

Thanks heaps

There should only be 1 clip behind it holding it in

it should pop right out when u pull it

Re: Trouble removing the Sail Panel in 2001 Honda Civic Sedan

Thanks for the help guys,

I still haven't tried replacing the front speakers yet, but will in the next couple days. And yeahh thanks to the forums I've been able to replace the rear one and run the wiring for the sub and amp.

thanks
