I have a 2002 EM2 with Eibach spings on it. Not the real low ones, but the 1.5" drop ones.. I'm not sure the name. I'm looking for a full drop and a better suspension performance in all. I was looking into full coilovers and I was wondering what you thought the best for the money are. Also I am going to have them professionally installed, unless someone could show me a guide and I thought I could tackle it myself. I'm pretty good with cars, but not excellent.
Thanks!

Edit: Btw, I am looking for a lower drop than what I have now. Am I correct that the Tein SS only drop 1.8"?
Thanks!

I am in the same boat trying to figure out a good set there are so many choices. I am thinking best option for around $800 is D's they are the cheapest ones with the most bang for the buck. Around $900 I am thinking Function & Form they seem to get really good reviews but I think they might be the same as the D2's . Tein seem to be a a bit pricey if you want to step up to the same options that the D2's/Function & Form have around $1300 to $1500 for the SS+P. If anyone can way in on this subject that would be awesome, I just want to lower my ride a bit and get a decent DD ride.

I just started looking at the Function & Form from the places I have found that sell them they may not make them for our year, I think they only make them for the Si.

Also check this place out http://www.dezod.com/cat_7thgencivic.cfm they have a Progress kit that seems like a good deal for the entire package like $1500 for coilovers, camber kit front and rear, + front and rear sway bars. I want to know if the Tein SS+P is worth the extra cash I found them for like $1300.

For me daily driver I want to lower 1 to 1.5 inches I just put 17 inch rims on and need to lower looks gay. I am torn between Tein SS-p, your Progress stage 3 kit, or just going Ground control with Koni Sports which everyone says rides awesome, right now I am leaning towards the GC+Koni sports as it is cheapest way to go and supposed to ride awesome.

I am starting to think your right I was thinking about the GC+Koni route but after seeing how much work it is I am starting to think Progress. How is the ride compared to stock with say a 1 to 1.5" drop? I just want a good ride not bouncy and dont want to go too low and be bottoming out on everything. Also with Progress on an 02 do I need the 01 top hat? Think mine are metal and I need the plastic, also is there anything else you would replace while doing this? My 02 only has 75K on it.

you need the plastic upper strut bearings not top hats. number 9 here http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...SHOCK+ABSORBER and i would replace the front lower control arm bushings with energy suspension poly. as for ride quality is amazing anybody that has these will tell you the same.

Yeah I think I will go with them they have been on my short list. Got another question I was reading in another forum they actually have the thread stickied that you dont need camber kits they say just take it in to get an alignment and tell them to set the toe in, what do you guys think camber kits or no camber kits?

Basically they were saying that camber kits can come lose and cause you to need another alignment and can rust get stuck and that the alignment can be set within specs without them especially if you are not slamming it.

you need camber kits especially in the rear you could get away without the front if your just slightly dropping the car but i would still get the front bolts there very cheap. as for them coming loose if they are tightened to the proper torque you wont have any problems i mean after awhile evan with stock suspension things eventually go out of spec and need alignment.
