glove box issues

Hi, I have a 2001 civic DX. and there is no lock on the glove box
is it possible to take the button thingy off and put a lock thingy on it.

honda did that on purpose so you dont put valuables in there. glovebox is the easiest thing to break into even if its locked. one second with a crowbar is all it takes. instead, try to put important items in the trunk.
