OK well today i remove my stock intake resonator. The really big box on passenger side of motor along with tube connecting to resonator box. It sounds a little better with a nice deeper tone. I like it but could this cause any problems. Also there is a pretty big gap now in the motor looks a lil wierd

might get slightly better gas mileage since warmer air will be sucked into the engine. just keep the air filter housing cause you need that lol.

that offset by the slight reduction in flow restriction by removing the resonator box might balance out. Probably a negligible change, to say the least.

Maybe but I doubt it. The biggest restriction in flow in every condition but wide open throttle it the throttle plate.

True. It's all negligible with a D17 though.
Also, with the resonator box removed, it's taking a suction from about the same area an eBay SRI would.. maybe 6 inches further back
