o2 sensor question

Ok... so my last post was apparently removed for whatever reason.

I had swapped out my 02' d17a1 with an 04' d17a1. Some folks suggested that the CEL was coming on because of a difference in o2 sensors. Wideband for the 04' and narrow band for the 02'.

My question is: with the 02' ECU in the car, do I need to put narrow band or wide band in?

Re: o2 sensor question

i believe with the 02 sensor, you need only the naroowband.
if you put the 04 ECU you will need the expensive wideband. I was wondering what happened to your post too.

Re: o2 sensor question

yeah i was thinking about doing a conversion to the newer ecu and sensor, but dont know what other issues there might be along the way as far as other sensors that may not work with newer ecu. the 04-05 widebands are much more efficient than narrowband. i have an egr valve already like all 04-05 have, but not sure what else they updated for the newer models.
