Horn issues pls assist thanks

Hi there everyone,

I have a 1998 honda civic ex, and I have an issue with my horn that I would like to get solved.. please help thanks!!

I bough my 1998 honda civic from a used car lot, and I found out that the horn doesn't work.. I've checked the fuse and its not blowen... So what I would like to know is where do I find the horn its self located? It doesn't say in the manual, and I've looked all over the inside of the hood and I can't find it....

I'm also having problems trying to find if needed a horn kit from either lordco, or even a honda dealer..?

Can anyone here please help me out that would be great!!

My location is in surrey, bc canada..

horn is under the front bumper, usually next to the washer fluid tank. sometimes the ground to the car body can get corroded and cause the horn not to work. in canada, i bet its salt corrosion.

our horns sound like mouse farts.... save the money, unless you're getting one that sounds like "AHHHHH ROOOOOOO GAAAAAAAA" or plays a song or something.

it'll just **** you off more to hear what it sounds like. and you'll be super pissed when the douche in the lifted truck just laughs at it and blows exhaust in your window...

Ohh okay, is it easy to locate? cause i've looked there and I can't find it.. How about to fix it, where can I get this fixed? and can this be done easy? or does it need to be done with a professinoal? Can I also relcate the horn to somewhere else where it won't get attacked by the weather..?

Thanks

should be on the driver side very low to the ground, hence why salt and dirt get all over it. when i had the bumper off, i moved it way up to a bolt near the headlamp. be sure it is securely fastened because the horn bracket is the ground for the horn to function. its possible yours is broken too but new ones are cheap. you can test the old one by applying 12v power to the wire and grounding the bracket.

Ahh okay, I see... Do you have a diagram of it by any chance?
Where can I pick up a replacement horn kit..?

honda dealer should be able to order one. or check ebay. i couldnt find a diagram but it should be visible with the bumper removed. you need to take it off to change it anyways. its a round piece with a bracket attached, about the size of a small cake doughnut.
