Where is the cheapest I can get AEM EMS? I know that this is the first step to modification, so before I start my rebuild, this is going to be the first thing im buying. But I need it as cheap as possible. Hit me up... Let me know!

Re: Aem ems

1) EMS is overpriced. You won't find it cheap. I scored a stellar deal on one a few years ago at $800, but I haven't even seen another for sale since then.

2) It is insanely difficult to tune with. It is stupid complicated. There are 100x too many options, and while that sounds great, it is actually a hindrance because of the complexity. In addition to having too many options, there are a few funcitons that it is lacking. If all of that wasn't enough, the software isn't very user friendly. It is hard to find the most important things that you need.

3) Just get k-pro. Used ones show up regularly for 900-ish. Take it from me, I've used both and k-pro is far superior unless you are building a 600 hp, 200 shot of nitrous drag monster.

Re: Aem ems

Isnt Kpro tune specific though? What I mean by that is... Say im running nitrous right now, and then later go boost, dont you have to send it in to get programmed? Or am I wrong? I would be very happy if I was! And I have yet to find Kpro with the gear used for sale. If I could I would go Kpro, let me know!!!

Re: Aem ems

K-pro is a standalone ECU. Plug up a laptop and change whatever you want to change. The only thing that could possibly change going from nitrous to a turbo is installing an electronic boost control solenoid but that isn't even required. You can reprogram the same k-pro for any setup you choose. Hondata sells the gear separately if you need to buy it that way. It will be cheaper than buying everything new.

Re: Aem ems

Just get Kpro its alot cheaper and you can just plug your labtop up to it and tune it yourself if you know how so you do not have to send it back in. And kpro is like 900 something and if I am right aem ems is like 1300 or something like that so you will save 400.
