d17 swap

i'm anube and wanted to kno if a d17 will swap into my 1990 civic dx?
i need a motor/trany now myn is burning oil and trany wyns. thought of a
b18a1 swap or just keep it simple w/d16 or if the d17 will work.i like the tq/hp of the d17 and my driving is hwy so i want the tq for lo-mid range.w d17 i can have the same hp/better tq than a d16y7/y8/zc and almost as much as the b18a1 w/lessweight. what is yall's ideas, any help apreciatted.

dont bother with d17 it is slow and will require too much work to swap over, ur goin from single coil, to coil on plug, d16 or b18 is a much better choice

look on craigslist for all that or ebay.
and ya the b18 would pull pretty nice.
1.8 liter dual cam = pretty quick for stock.

It's worth going with the B a D series build will only yield so much power unless you boost.... and thats probably gonna end up more expensive then a b18 swap... granted you'll have more power from the turbo but the swap will be cheaper and probably more guranteed to work even though it will have less HP
