Trunk latch failed.
It is -20C, my wife is about to leave for work and says: By the way the trunk won't close on the civic (she found out because some guy was nice enough to let her know the trunk was bouncing up and down as she was driving down the road). I looked at the latch and the hook that wraps around the retainer clip is loose, the end of a small spring is hanging there, and you can easily open and close the hook with your finger. Not sure if I can re-attach the spring or if I need a new assembly. The cable is fine. She drove off with a bungie cord holding down the trunk. Suggestions?
