Rep Power: 0 P0134 error code
I have a 2004 Honda civic EX. I replaced the O2 sensor, downstream after catalytic converter and I newly replaced the upstream sensor at the manifold. The upstream sensor is new but for a 2002 EX. These sensors are the same (per the honda guy, adn only $72) but i still get a P0134 code when I read the computer with my OBD II. Does anyone know where I can find a cross reference to see exactly what parts are interchangable between years (especially 2001-2004)? I do not want to slap a 2004 O2 sensor in and for $170 plus, as quoted by the dealer for the part only.

well technically the 01-05 civic engine components should be the same. how does the car run? did you reset the code after installing the new sensor by resetting the ecu and doing idle learn?

After running a diagnostic I recieved a trouble code of P0134 (a/f sensor, cucuit 1 bank 1) I installed the $72 sensor from the 2002 honda civic (part numbers do not match) I reset the codes using the clear code feature in on the handheld OBD II handheld. The check engine light cleared and went out. I rechecked using the handheld and no codes came back. After starting the car the car started out okay at idle and then it ran choppy as I accelerated. After about 5 minutes the check engine light came on and I rechecked the code and it came back P0134. Interestingly enough, if I run it open with no sensor connected it runs smooth and my gas mileage is average 34 MPG.

if i am not mistaken the 2002 uses a narrowband o2 sensor and the o4 uses a wideband...I am having the same exact problem except I did replace it with the right o2 sensor and still get that damn code
