2002 Civic P1129

Yes, another thread about P1129...

My fiancé's 2002 Civic EX 1.7L automatic started ideling rough a couple weeks ago and throwing P1129 and P1298. The P1298 ended up being the ELD had come unplugged and that is fixed now but I can't figure out the 1129.

If I clear the code, it runs great for one trip as long as I don't shut off the engine. The second time i start it and drive it, as soon as it warms up, it starts ideling rough, the check engine light comes on and it seems to rev up higher and have difficulty shifting gears when going over 30. Often times I have to let off the gas for a second for it to shift to the next gear.

As soon as I clear the check engine light, I have another trip of smooth running car. I can reset it every time and have no problems.

This seems like an electrical/computer related issue?

I have replaced the MAP sensor and cleaned the IAC valve already.

Any ideas? It's getting frustrating and I'm running low on ideas. Plus I miss driving my car...she had it till I figure this out.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
