PM'd FoSho, but I figured I'd toss it out in case someone had a code listing just sitting next to them by the tele..
Howdy from Maine.
Just brought my latest Honda home tinite: 2001 EX
Very excited..but...Radio Code is nowhere to be found.
Called Honda: nice guy talked me through getting serno...
Went outside, got Serno.
Called back: "I'm sorry..our offices are now closed"!
It's a good idea to search. Moderators don't like this question being asked 200 times lol. Just make sure from now on to search. And welcome to the forum!
thanks fellas.
I understand the "yet another thread asking ..." crud
Maybe I wasn't clear in my first poast, I talked to Honda directly.
They updated the car's ownership in their database.
The only reason I couldn't get the code is b/c I didn't have the Serial No(serno) at that point.
He explained how to get it(1&6)
By the time I got back into the house, the office had closed.
So, what I was asking was if someone who does have access to codes
outside working hours happened to have it for my serial #)
And the REAL reason I'm so antsy, is because I JUST bought this car last night, and having good music is paramount to me(because I drive an hour each way to work) and so I wasn't able to hear the system when I bought it(because they put a new battery in)...and I want to verify the integrity of the radio/CD system this morning(wanted to anyway) while they're open(so if there's issues I can scoot right over)
etc blahblah..
Trust me, I didn't wanna be another guy just asking for something cause he was too lazy to do any legwork, or perform a boolean search on a forum...
Thanks,
Rich
ps. I also did the online Code retrieval widget...but locked out my VIN.
So, I can't use that tool now.
thanks fellas.

yeah I kinda got that, but I believe that person is long gone from the forums.
You know that really pisses me off who really cares how many times it was asked the guy had a question and he was looking for assistance. It's way easier to just make a thread then to go searching. people should be more helpful on forums like this rather then rude to the answer seekers. Nowadays people only join forums to find out answers to questions they have or to share the knowledge they know about the certain topic, yet when some one asks they get drilled for asking the same question maybe a sticky for radio code errors would solve this rather then hating on the new guys. People just need to learn to be more polite and helpful or just STFU and say nothing, it honestly takes less of an effort to just help the guy and end the thread.
