I use Mobil 1 synthetic. What do you guys use and why?
I used Mobil 1 basically because it has the best reputation as a synthetic oil. I use synthetic oil because although it may be almost twice the price it will last twice as long as conventional, and gives better performance and gas mileage while protecting my engine better then conventional oils. So it actually saves you money.

I was having my oil changed at Honda for the longest time. But just recently I also switched to Mobil 1 synthetic (and K&N oil filter) because of the same reasons you stated. I am also changing it myself so it comes out to about the same price. And the big bonus is that I no longer have the douchebags at Honda trying to ***** their service on me.

valvoline maxlife 5w30 and LC20 additive. cause i like my oil to last a long time, protect the engine seals, and work better than synthetic.

I use Red Line 5w20 sythetic because, Red Line’s synthetic motor oils are designed to provide the highest protection, cleanliness and superior drain intervals with the lowest friction for your gasoline engine. They use the most stable components available and formulate thier products for wear protection and friction reduction across a wide range of engine operating conditions. Red Line's products are unique because they contain polyol ester base stocks, the only lubricants which can withstand the tremendous heat of modern jet engines. These synthetics have a natural multigrade property which allows thier chemists to avoid bulking up an oil with unnecessary additive packages

royal purple barely lasts 2k miles, which is why most people dont use it on a street car. K&N oil filters are very good

Mobile 1 synth on and a Pureilator (spelling?) one filter. 5w30.
I used to use Valvoline and amsoil and all that other stuff, but i like how mobile one synth makes my car run.
sure amsoil lets u go further with the oil, but i dont want crap floating in my engine for any longer than it has to.

BG Hi/Low true full synthetic, it's indepently tested against the other big name componies. Plus I get a deal on it becuase the shop I work at carries the BG product line. The test shows that Moble 1 is one of the lowest rated synthetic oil, because they start off with a organic base, so it's not a true full synthetic. Theres really only a few true full synthetic oils out there on the market. BG, AMS oil, Royal purple, Redline, ELF and Eneos(Nippon oil) are the only ones that I know of.

As long as you stick to the right grade of oil it doesnt matter what you use. Honda just says use a 5w20 oil in the engine. As long as you use 5w20 Mobil 1 it wont hurt a thing. If anything it will probably do the engine better.
