04 Coupe 'vp' - add factory cruise?, keyless Q too
I inherited my late father's 2004 'vp' Coupe (automatic, ugh) and am trying to keep everything I modify genuine Honda wherever possible. The dealer stated that there is not a factory available optional cruise, but I noticed the throttle cable bracket is already set up for one. so...
Can I raid a different trim level car (LX, EX, etc) at a junkyard and transfer its factory cruise into my VP car? I would think all the basics are already in my car & I just need the switches/servo/cable/modules, etc. Or is this false hope?
Alarm/keyless question:
I know I can get the factory optional alarm for this car, BUT - Honda has discontinued the factory-made keyless entry system kit to make it work like I need it to from what I've been led to believe. Anyone know where I can get one? OR - can the factory alarm be set up with aftermarket door lock actuators to automatically lock/unlock (no visible switches, just actuators hidden in doors)?
TIA!

Everything Is Easy To Bolt On, The Problem Is You Need Complete Under Hood Harness, Dash Harness, Cluster, Right Up To The Cable Reel, Possibly Even The Multiplex Box. Looked At Doing This Myself As I Have The Honda Shop Manuals. Will Probably End Up Getting An Aftermarket Kit From Rostra Precision Controls. Do Not Know What You Would Need For Keyless, If You Have Power Locks, Get The Dealer Accessory Kit With Security, Or Get A Used Keyless Module And Transmitters If You Have The Plug Behind The Cupholders For The Module.
