Re: anyone good with photoshop??

um you need an exact same pic as above except with the hood open. thats the only way to do it by overlapping them and making the hood semi transparent. you cant make the engine appear magically with only that one pic you posted lol

Re: anyone good with photoshop??

the easiest way to do this is to have the help of a friend.

with the hood open, snap a picture or two, then dont even move an inch. stay perfectly still while you keep your hands and everything in the same place. get your friend to run and drop the hood, then snap another picture or two.

if you have a good camera and a tripod or something, you could probably do it alone.

also, the results will be better if youre slightly to the right a bit and a little higher than that pic you already took...just so you could see a little more of the engine.

Re: anyone good with photoshop??

when he said that, he meant you need a picture without your hood popped and figured you would know that you need another picture with your hood shut to go with it.

just do what i said and take two pictures from the exact same position in a row. one with your hood up, and the other with your hood down. just get someone else to help you but shutting the hood for you so you dont have to move. the closer the two picture angles are, the better the result of your new pic will be.

Re: anyone good with photoshop??

yeah tripod is easiest. take one pic, open the hood, and take another pic. without moving the camera. make sure the lighting is good enough to show detail in the engine bay, otherwise it wont look good.

Re: anyone good with photoshop??

man you have bad lighting in both of those. you just can win this battle can you? hahaha.

gearbox made it look as good as it will get with those pictures. and it looks pretty good. if you want a nice one though that you could use in your signature or something, go somewhere with a nice background and nice even light and try again.

i think the best way to light up the engine bay and get not too much reflection is to have your car parked facing towards the sun slightly.
