Just bought my EM2

Hello everybody,

This is my first post here on the site and im looking for some advice before i go ahead and start working. I just got my em2 a couple months ago and im ready to work on it a bit to make it quicker. What I am asking is what i should start doing right away? I wanted to do headers and cat-back by the end of October. Which brands are good? Custom or Generic brand? Should i do the exhaust first or should i be doing something else.

I really want to start working on this car. Im not really into looks as much as i am into the engine. I put rims on right away cause it had to look a bit decent. Thanks guys for looking at the forum and bring any suggestions please!

(ill post some pics soon)

Re: Just bought my EM2

welcome to the site.

The D17 will not respond well to bolt ons like other cars will.

Basically a full exhaust and intake will not net you more then a few whp at best. often times a loss of power is actually experienced.

I would suggest to first put a drop on it. these cars look so much better dropped.

As far as adding real power, Kpro is a very valuable tool and by itself can net some gains. But to make big power you need nitrous, turbo or K swap. As shitty as it is, thats reality.

If you want to keep the D17 get the crower stage 2 kit and turbo it.
