Re: old school style rice rods.

every one of those looks disgusting in its own way. i cant even pick out which one looks the ugliest.

if the guy in the 4th picture (car in front of wall with graffiti) lost those rims and tires and got a half decent looking set, his car would look fine. the others are so gross.

Re: old school style rice rods.

painted steelies are laughable. the black car with red painted steelies has potential if you put normal rims on it and raise it to a normal height.

Re: old school style rice rods.

oh i just noticed the two green cars are the same one. that hood is gross too.

if you got rid of the hood and tires, it would look ok. it looks ok in the 4th picture aside from the tires, but thats only because you cant see the hood.

Re: old school style rice rods.

i have always loved rat rods i would trade my civic in a heart beat for an old mercury lead sled. i like the the white wall look infact im going to experiment with my winter setup probably get some 15 or 16 inch steeles from the junk yard cleanem up powder coat them and paint on some white walls see how it looks.

Re: old school style rice rods.

Whoa man..

Trashy style - agreed. Each of them hideous in their own way - agreed. Can't pick the ugliest one - agreed. Painted steelies laughable - definitely agreed, especially on a vic!

As said before, to each their own, but to me this is the classic example of mixing two completely different eras ending in disaster.. This is the same type of thing as an old ground pounding muscle car with vertical doors and some 20" Giovanni's or some shit. No disrespect to anyone by any means, but that's my .02
