Hi feel free to remove this thread,Honda's owner manual suggest to use Honda brand ATF for smooth shifts,is that totally true? my local Honda dealer was closed early part this year ,any insights will be greatly appreciated. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Honda ATF/MTF has some special additives in it that these transmissions were designed to have. If you use some other brand transmission fluid your trans will likely make some funny noises.

shifting becomes much harder and jumpy using other fluid types. honda atf keeps shifts smooth.
