Magnaflow or A'pexi World Sport 2?

Hey all,

I'm looking to put a cat-back exhaust onto my Civic (2002 LX). I am looking for a really quiet, almost stock sounding unless full on throttle, exhaust. The ones I'm currently looking at are the Magnaflow Cat-back and the A'pexi WS2.

Prices: Magnaflow Cat-back: $599.95
A'pexi WS2 : $727.87

I don't really like the idea of having a 4" pipe, but as long is it looks clean

Anyways, any suggestions would be great.

If anyone has these exhausts, please post how loud they are? I was reading through the exhaust review thread and not too much on these exhausts.

WS2 looks more stock, but I like the Greddy SP2 more (because i have it)
both are available for LXs without any custom piping.

Re: Magnaflow or A'pexi World Sport 2?

I had the magnaflow for a long time and loved it. The only complaint I had was the crappy couplers, but I took it to an exhaust shop and they charged me 10 whole dollars to weld two of the three joints. It was really nice and quiet at idle and cruising and wasn't raspy when you opened it up. I personally have never heard a ws2, so no help there, but I give the magnaflow 2 thumbs up with that small exception.

Re: Magnaflow or A'pexi World Sport 2?

I also had the Magnaflow and I was pretty satisfied with it. Not too loud with a nice deep exhaust note. I was not a big fan of the huge muffler, however. I don't have experience with the WS2, but have heard a lot of great things about that system and I definitely prefer the look of it. The cops bothered me too much when I had the Magnaflow on. If I could do it again, I would get the WS2.

Yeah, I don't want any cop trouble whatsoever, and yeah, I was Google-ing some pics of the exhausts on our Civic and yeah the Magnaflow muffler looks almost too big. also, what is quieter between the two?

Re: Magnaflow or A'pexi World Sport 2?

Thanks for the input Gearbox, just out of curiosity, when driving normally, so not over 3k rpm, is your car alot louder?

Cause I hate when you see I guy driving from a light and it sounds like he's hauling A**, but once your realize what car it is, he's going 5 km/h faster than the car beside him. Can't stand it!!!!

To me, it's an epic fail
