Loud annoying sound in the wheel well

When I drive above 40mph I hear a loud annoying sound in the passenger side wheel. It sounds like something is dangling in the winds and hitting my tire in the front passenger side fender. I thought it might be the fender side rubbing the tire, but with my hand I can’t make it touch. As any one herd of this and I have stock wheels. Also while inspecting the front wheel I saw a peace that didn’t look right. Can someone please identify it and let me know if I should be concerned.

First picture is it me or is this about to give out, and should I be worried. If so, how much to replace it.

Second picture, with this distance should there be any rubbing.

Re: Loud annoying sound in the wheel well

that is your compliance bushing and you need to replace it that is a very common problem for our generation civics the part is cheap you could evan go after market i would recommend energy suspension .labor wise will cost more because the lower control arm needs to be removed and you off course need to do the other side.

Re: Loud annoying sound in the wheel well

i know that sound, usually blown shocks cause it, kinda like a plastic bag caught in the wind or something. but that bushing is toast. goes out all the time so i would recommend the energy suspension replacements, they will last the life of the vehicle. im not sure which side that is in your pic, but there are TWO bushings per side (four total required). the big one is compliance bushing.
