I'm currently trying to get this project started, I've got a few things in my way:
- put on summer wheels (just finished)
- remove and reapply suede armrest cover
- install shift boot adapter
- install aluminum pedals
- finish carpeting custom trunk floor
- install custom plugins to car PC for multimedia
Then there might be a few minutes on the side to look at the headliner, unfortunately I'm swamped working on my car 4 hours a day to get ready for the Driven 2009 show. I'd love to get it done for the show June 13 and I even got a friend with a sewing machine to sew up the visor covers, I just don't have the time with my stupid job eating 8 hours a day.

hey dex, you mentioned installing a shift boot adapter, does that work on the oem shift boot and after market shift knob?
Ha, that's what it's meant for! If you have the stock knob then you don't need it. And I'll find out how well it works when it comes in the mail this week, the guy said it will fit my shifter. Probably wasted my money though, I might get the Revo SS soon and don't know if it'll fit that. Oh well, we'll see.

In the Si, the boot clips to the shift knob and in the lower models it actually uses a zip tie to stay up to the knob. If you change to an aluminum aftermarket knob like I did, then there's no place to attach the zip tie and the boot falls down to the bottom of the shifter, exposing the shifter itself. So in order to keep the boot up, you can use something like this:
It's got a groove in it that you can attach the zip tie to and it sits flush against the bottom of your aftermarket shift knob. I bought mine from www.strutking.com along with a set of pedals, he's got a bunch of cool stuff that he machines out of aluminum. I'm going to order the shifter cable bushings when I get more money.

WOW! ive been needing something like that, i just pulled my boot up a little more, folded it over, and zip tied it tight. i can still kinda feel the zip tie, but i havnt had any problems and its been on there for a few months

so i looked at em, its under the '06+ but it should work just as well for my '01 right? after all its just threaded on
I emailed him with the specific question before buying mine and he replied saying it will fit for sure on a 7th generation Civic. Or you can just wait until I get mine and I can let you know for sure.

Can do but it might be a while before I get the Revo. Been looking at it for over a year and still no cash. I had a guy offer to buy it for me in return for installing his but turned it down because I'm a nice guy and did it for free....
