ok i have searched around some pics worked but a lot didnt show up of ppl who painted their valve covers. now i have an 05 and of course all the pics of the 05 civic dont work or old and arent showing anymore. im not talking about the plastic plug covers but the actual valve cover durrr. no does anyone have a pic of their valve cover they painted? 04 or 05 doesnt matter just want to see how yours came out

Powdercoating is easy. We made a little temp. booth/baking station at my friends house and powdercoated an old valve cover of mine. You would be very surprised what you can do with a simple powdercoating kit from like SEARS. Once you get your setup all you have to do is order in additional. powder for whatever application you need.

Nope no pictures. It was just a MDF box with a screen filter in the back. We hooked up a generic box fan behind the filter to create a draft, this way any of the extra/overspray would adhere to the filter which could be replaced. Other than that there was just a hook attached through the top of the box strong enough to susspend pieces from. Other than that you just need the powdercoating kit and an oven large enough to house whatever piece you coat.
