| Re: Mileage - Cluster or ECU Actually I believe it is stored in both. That's the way they can get you on mileage fraud if you throw in a new cluster or somehow disengage the odometer on the cluster... if the cluster and ecu don't match up and you are trying to pass it off as having lower miles it is actually fraud and it means prison and huge fines.. there are places that say they can change the mileage, but the guys at my local dealership said that they couldn't do it..
