Just for kicks

My civic gets an average of 30MPG in the city. I can go around 290 to 320 miles on a tank depending on how hard I push my car. I wanted to see what everyone else gets. If you can reply with your gas mileage and how many miles you can go on a tank. It just seems to me that a civic should be doing better than that. Well about a month ago i had a good chance to see how much i was getting to the gallon. i went from miami to missouri (which by the way sucked cause there isnt anything to do in missouri), well everytime i went to fill up i had traveled a good 330 miles which i dont think is great mileage at all for a civic. those are my 2 cents

Thats the same thing that I thought. I am not as impressed as I thought that I would be with the gas mileage, but I am still happy that I am not having to put 50 bucks in it to fill it up unlike alot of other vehicles.

Yeah dude, 330 is the magic number in my gas cook, thats usually about 10.XX gallons for me. I was getting 29 and 30mpg a lot for strictly around town driving, and then got a good 33-35 with mostly highway. Go figure.

Btw, this thread is pretty dead being posts dont show up on the "new posts" section." There was a thread started a while back that everyone posted their MPG's in, do a search to get a much better idea of where your mpg's stand.

Re: Just for kicks

I am damn close to 400m on this tank. I can get real high mileage when I drive all highway like 38 , the speed limit is 60 around here though . If I decide to follow it. All city if i drive like my G-ma I get around 32, if I drive it like a race car then I get down to 28-29 range.

Re: Just for kicks

The best I have ever gotten was 420mi/tank and I probably could have gone further b/c the gas light turned on at about 405.

but average for me is about 360-380 (lots of highway driving)

Re: Just for kicks

I have a 2001 honda civic dx, 5speed.

I drive from glasgow, ky to detroit (455mi) i do it on one tank of gas (one way) and i can still get may be arnd 20miles more. I get an average of 38-40 mpg on high way and 34-36mpg in town. And i love it.

Max i ever got on a tank of gas was 520, i usually average around 430-470.

Re: Just for kicks

You know, if people did a search for a subject, instead of starting a thread up for the sake of starting one up, maybe we wouldn't have the site bogged down with so many useless repeats.

And the next time you post a new thread, be sure to give it a specific title, not some lame-ass, generic 'Just for kicks' crap. Maybe it's because you're new, I don't know, but, next time, give the forum scanner a real clue as to what your thread is about. No one has the time to look through all of the threads with general titles like
'Just for kicks', 'Need some advise', 'Help me, PLZ!', or (my personal favorite) 'I dunno Hi.'...

THAT should be the last one ibtl.
