8th Gen Honda Civic 2006 and up is the 8th Generation Honda Civic. It adds a new look to the Civic line-up. A really smooth front end separates it from previous generations while still carrying the reliability of the Civic name.

Just bought a "09 civic lx coupe...

And im a novice when it comes to the Honda world. What are some tips or tricks y'all (from the south) can offer me?

Some of my questions are:
1. What type of exhaust should I get?
2. What size rims would be the most beneficial?
3. Would a body kit be good, and what type?
4. How can I make it faster overall?

I know these are some dumb questions but thanks for the help.

1. You can try an Si axle back. Its a little more aggressive sounding but not overly loud. Put one on my friend's lx and it sounds good!

2. I'd say stick with 17's. Will look good and won't be super heavy hopefully (robbing hp and mpg)

3. Check out the HFP lip kit. Certainly a popular choice, and can be bought pre-painted.
