8th Gen Honda Civic2006 and up is the 8th Generation Honda Civic. It adds a new look to the Civic line-up. A really smooth front end separates it from previous generations while still carrying the reliability of the Civic name.

At 115,000 mi my `06 LX coupe began making a noise like when one drives on a cobblestone street. I quickly ruled out tire and exhaust line issues. The noise would abate under acceleration, cease for a moment if I went over a bump, and get louder if I slowed down. Otherwise, the car functioned normally. The check-engine light never came on.
The problem turned out to be a failed right top engine mount—a fluid-filled mount. This is what happens if it loses its integrity and leaks. Apparently only the motor mount on the right is fluid-filled in these cars. I am certain that this will become common occurrence as 8th generation Civics age out. However, I found no previous mention of it on the Internet.
Thankfully, mine pooped out before my 120,000 mi HondaCare extended warranty did. Without the warranty, the dealer price for the repair would have been $361. I continued driving the car for about 200 mi before I could get the work done. That did no further harm. The dramatic noise makes the problem seem more urgent that it really is.

i think there are 3 other mounts so the engine doesnt fall out lol. i know on the older civics the front mount always crapped out, but never seen an issue with side mount.
