8th Gen Honda Civic 2006 and up is the 8th Generation Honda Civic. It adds a new look to the Civic line-up. A really smooth front end separates it from previous generations while still carrying the reliability of the Civic name.

2006 Civic Si Fuel Problem

My wife has been using regular grade fuel in my civic. Now there is a knock under the hood. Can anyone tell me what to do? To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Re: 2006 Civic Si Fuel Problem

Don't use cheap fuel, the owners manual says to use premium fuel only (91 octane or better) , the reason why I didn't buy an SI.

Re: 2006 Civic Si Fuel Problem

as long as you don't drive like a NASCAR driver, you should be fine...but having regular gas for SI is not good....try premium gas and see what it does...
