thats up to you what is the best but get the honda GPS and it has all the bells and whistles

If I get a 2009 SI without Nav, is it possible to add the factory NAV unit and get all the functionality with it?

Go to Best Buy and look at what is there. Factory units are nice and BIG but what you see is what you get. The smaller and portable units can be tweaked and customized (i.e...the "car" icon, points of interest, voice, etc.), are less expensive and can be taken with you on vacation or put in another vehicle.

Go to crutchfield.com and compare a bunch of the different units. You can compare everything from the color of the buttons to the voltage of the rca outputs. Now, Im not saying buy from crutchfield as they are very very expensive. But then you can decide spec wise which units you like.

not just the honda GPS but the Civic GPS if you get the one for the FIT you wont have all the stuff like bluetooth so if you go for the OEM make sure its for the civic
