8th Gen Honda Civic 2006 and up is the 8th Generation Honda Civic. It adds a new look to the Civic line-up. A really smooth front end separates it from previous generations while still carrying the reliability of the Civic name.

clunking in front end on '07 Si. is it normal?

I bought my car used and the sound wasnt there. The sound is this. When the car is sitting with the tires straight and the engine running, when you move the steering wheel left to right when it starts to move the wheels theres a clunk. it only does it when you quickly move left to right. I took it in for warranty service and they changed out the steering column and the power steering gearbox.

Since the day I brought it in they have been saying its normal, yet changed those 2 parts. After the column, exactly the same. After the gearbox, it is better but its still there.

The 1st day i brought it in, the service manager tested 3 other 06 and 07 civics (non-si) and they didnt do it.

Could someone please go try this on the 07 si (4 dr even though i dont know if it matters) and tell me if it clunks also. I am out of warranty and want to keep this alive before they tell me to piss off cuz im over 36000.

Thanks SSSOOO much
