8th Gen Honda Civic2006 and up is the 8th Generation Honda Civic. It adds a new look to the Civic line-up. A really smooth front end separates it from previous generations while still carrying the reliability of the Civic name.

Hey guys,
So im going to get the Si soon and im just wondering if i should get sedan or the coupe version. Does the coupe have better handling because its smaller, or is the handling about the same.
Also the coupe version looks more visually appealing but the 4-door is more practical. For anybody who has the coupe, are the back seats comfortable or do they feel too claustrophobic and squished.

Sedan:
Curb Weight (lbs., MT/AT) 2945 / NA
Weight Distribution (%, front/rear, MT) 60 / 40
$23060 Loaded
Coupe:
Curb Weight (lbs., MT/AT) 2886 / NA
Weight Distribution (%, front/rear, MT) 61 / 39
$23060 Loaded
The sedan is 59 lbs heavier. You gotta remember the coupe has huge ass doors and windows so the 2 doors weigh close to what 4 do. The sedan has better weight distribution and they cost the same. Go for the sedan and enjoy the fast car thats easier to live with.

+1
I was convinced I would get the coupe last month. But when I put them side by side, I liked the lines of the sedan better. The profile of the coupe just doesn't do it for me. Those rear quarter panels seem to go on forever. And since I do occasionally carry passengers and the sedan's trunk is a canyon, I went with the sedan. And I wouldn't change that decision if I had to do it over again.
This thread has been cleaned up because it has gone off topic. Please refer to this thread for the debate that was previously going on in here: Is the R18 more then a base model motor?
the sedan looks better. way f'in better. technically speaking, the 7th gen sedan supposedly handles better than the coupe due to a slightly longer wheelbase, so amybe it's the same with the 8th.

I had a coupe now I have a sedan that should say enough. With the coupe I was paying $180/mo for insurance now im at $98 so its way worth it. I wouldn't own another coupe just cause there is no point and no real advantage. The only 2 door car I would own now would be a sport car (S2k, NSX, Miata and so on) There is no reason to own an econo-coupe or even something like an accord coupe (except its 6spd manual trans). The sedan is just much more well rounded.
