for Si owners, what is a realistic OVERALL mileage in this car? curious what you all are getting. I know sticker is 23 city, 32 highway, but skeptical with that 197 hp engine. Havent got mine yet, coming next month, but I bet low 20s mpg overall is more realistic.

I have an 07 sedan with 2500 miles on it and have avg. 23-26 with no mods. hyw only around 28. I drive it pretty hard most of the time. the vtec sounds soo cool.
Also note that under the NEW EPA formula, the gov't listed mileage is actually 20-city and 29-highway for a combined of 23 (versus 23/32/26 under the old formula).
I don't have an Si, but my 2007 EX/AT gets very close to the new formula figures so far - the EPA says combined of 29 for the 1.8L, 5-AT, and my average (only 7 tankfulls now, pretty much 50/50 city/highway) is 29.6 mpg.
My new Si sedan w/ about 500 miles got just barely under 27 MPG on my first full tank. I haven't been driving it particularly easy, but I haven't hit VTEC yet either. Mixed miles, some "highway" going to/from work, but with traffic it's not exactly constant speeds.

My 2006 EX just got 41 MPG on a 450 mile trip. now i did not drive it like it was a sports car i kicked back and did about 73 average. That is alot better than my truck would have gotten.
My 2007 EX sedan's best mileage has been 31.5; worst has been 29.5. This is about 80% freeway, 20% city. Average freeway speed is around 73 mph. I'm just shy of 5000 miles on the car.
Just bought an Si, and man this car gets some awesome gas mileage. I have been keeping an eye on that since I first bought the car and I have to say that I have been getting an average of about 30 miles to the gallon. Now this is mostly highway, but a decent amount of city. This is all with pleanty of wheel hop in second when ever I get a decent strip of open road in city. So needless to say I do not baby it.
so glad to hear that kinda response there gasaholic. I was worried a little bit of lead foot will kick me down to like 20 mpg. my call came today adn the my si is in. getting it saturday!!!! I guess I must be goofy in my tastes, because Ive yet to see a picture or hear anyone say they have a 4 door, si 2007, white. sure dont see any on the road, that's for sure.
I have seen a couple of people posting on here that have the 4 door. I think it is still a rareity due to the fact it just cameout for the 07 model year. I almost bought one actually.

Picking up our 4 door white SI today. It will be parked out every night. Thinking of taking taking the i-VTEC DOHC off the back doors to avoid drawing attention. Any thoughts?? I'll keep the vinyl if we ever want to sell it.
u mean someone other than me owns a white, 4-dr, si, 07? amazing. why take off the sticker? think it looks neato.
as for mine, got a whopping 89 miles on it, adn love it to death!!
Leave the sticker. I am not one for adding stickers, but why take it off? People who are going to take notice of the car are going to realize it is an SI because of the wheels anyway.

I just did a little test on my own in regards to the gas mileage issue. Basicly our cars do not need high octane to run safely do to the stock computer making corrections for this. i.e. retarding ignitino timing, and increasing fuel. So with with that being said I wanted to see if it made any difference with how the car drove or anything else if I ran 89 octane. I ran this through one entire tank full and my mileage was the only thing that was affected, and badly. On 93 octane I typically get about 360 miles to a tank full, and with 89octane I only got 260. Jusy an FYI...
