I cant help it. The car is so damn sexy that everytime I get out and start to walk away I look back and smile. Somebody tell me Im not the only geek!

Well to tell you the truth i sometimes feel like doing the same i just purchased mine 2 weeks ago and when i go to work i park it backwards so that you can be able to see the front but its when i get off work and walk towards my car when i feel proud of it and think "damn i like it alot" hahahahhaaha! SO no i dont think your a geek for doing that it just that the civic is do damn hot right now. hahaha

I just broke 300 miles and yes I still walk away and look back as she is a beauty in the gray!

I have a 2006 Civic Sedan in Atomic Blue. I look at it and sigh every chance I get. It is in the shop to have the accessories installed and I feel a part of me is missing..............

My car is going in the shop tonight for possible alignment at 400 miles and a clunk in the front end when car is cold and you turn the wheels.

I don't like the fact she has to go back but better safe than sorry.

Oh yeah, mileage is at the 625mi mark
I think I'll still take it kinda easy on it for another few hundred miles though.
I'm gonna change the oil once it reaches the 1000mi mark.

Hey,

I took the service manager for a ride and he confirmed the car veered to the right when on a flat level grade with all tire pressures correct.

He also said in the morning, they will turn the wheels and listen for the "COLD" clunk, only when car is cold and has not been driven.

Will keep you posted but you know how dealership service areas are, good news "WE FOUND NOTHING WRONG", hahaha.

Exactly, and then you either have to live with it as is or take it to several other dealerships before finding one who isn't afraid of getting their hands a little greasy while looking into what the problem(s) is/are.
I do hope all goes well and whatever is truly wrong is diagnosed and corrected. I'm anxious to hear what they find.

To be honest, the problems (alignment and clunk in the steering) were not that bad BUT why let it get worse.

I don't like a new car being tinkered with but as long as they have decent workers, everything should be fine.

I purposely listened for any clunking noises in the steering while backing out of my spot first thing this morning, but heard nothing abnormal. No clunking noises as I manuevered slowly in reverse. I did notice hgowever that mine does in fact vear slightly to the right if I let my hand off the wheel for a little while , while on flat pavement...but it also veers slightlyt to the left also
I moronically still haven't checked the cold tire pressure

Gotta adjust my pressures tomorrow if possible. Both rears are 33.5lbs ea. and the drivers' front is 28.1lb and the passenger side front pressure 31.9.
I got the Michelin Summer Tires ( 215/45R17 91W ) as an option and see that it says 50lb max pressure and...I'm gonna check out the owners manual and see what it says the recommended pressures are supposed to be.
The manual says 32psi is the recommended cold tire pressure for both front and rear tires so basically they're all way outa whack.

I check my pressures once a month and always the day after I get the car off the lot as they always over fill to give the tire the really full affect.

Mine were way high the day after I got the car.

They did not find anything with the clunking noise and said I might be hearing the brake release. Sounds like BS to me but will keep an eye on it.

The front alignment and front TOE was off a bit and they fixed it today. I have yet to test it on a nice flat road as I was in bumper to bumper after getting the car.

At least they gave me a sheet showing what was off in terms of toe, camber, etc etc.

I had to endure a rectal cranial inversion after checking my tire pressures yesterday and finding they were off as much as they were.
Indeed, now that my head is out of my a$$, I can see clearly that a monthly tire pressure checking regiment is a very smart habit for me to get into also.
I guess if they said they didn't find anything causing your clunking noise, the only thing left to do is keep monitoring it and hope it doesn't get any worse.
Cool that they corrected your alignment though.
I've gotta hit a nice flat stretch of road also and check mine as well.

Yep, people find it hard to believe that their tires can loose air. What do they think, it's space station air tight, haha.

Once a month will keep your gas mileage up and tires lasting the longest.

You would shocked in a month how tire pressures can change, especially from season to season.

Yep, alignment is good and will keep a close eye on the front end noise.

Yep i pump up my tires every few weeks, and no doubt they have always dropped some pressure during that time.
