After Market Dash Kit For Stereo?

Ive been looking around through the catalogs I've got at the dealership and from the looks of it, for the coupe anyway, if you get the 8-disc cd changer the installation kit comes with a dash piece to seperate the heater controls from the radio controls, but i've checked with some friends who work for circuit city and they say no after market dash kits for stereo installations are available yet.

If anyone knows of an after market dash kit available please let me know, im dying to get my alpine system into the car.

Not that the sound system in the 06 is bad but, its greaty for a factory system, but its factory none the less.

TypeR is on a distinguished road
Do you have to get that kit to fit the Alpine system?
Or do you just want it so you can seperate the controls?

well both, as of right now you can not put any aftermarket stereo in there, alpine or otherwise cuz the dash is one piece with both radio and heat control on piece together

I checked crutchfield and they do not have a mounting kit and they say modifying the vehicle needs to be done. I am sure they will come up with one in good time.

a company called metra makes all the good dash kits for allthe big stereo companies like car toys, circuit ****ty etc etc... find their website and check it out.. .if they dont have it, they will soon... i can tell you though it will not be cheap.. it was 45 for my mazda3 and it was only an odd shape... nothing fancy at all...

I will add from my original post to look at this link for a honda accord dash kit for a 2005 accord lx.

like the above post says from metra

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-zvlbNFV...sp?i=120997864

It is not going to be cheap!

EDIT: Here is one one ebay!!

For Those Of You That Havent Heard Yet Metra Did Come Out With One Now , But It Is Actually More Expensive Than Getting The Dx Dash Bezzle And Doesnt Look As Good.

Re: After Market Dash Kit For Stereo?

Here's a pretty good site, my local Future Shop only uses kits and harnesses from them. On my old '03 Si the kit looked pretty good. Now that I have an '07 EX coupe, I'm a little concerned over price and the way to instal it. Meh maybe the factory deck with factory sub is good enough..... *bleh*

Re: After Market Dash Kit For Stereo?

i recently purchased the metra/schoche kit and it was a pain to install and the heater buttons kept getting stuck in and the rotary knobs were really tight. the corners of the kit didnt line up with the factory dash and some of the curves were way off. i paid 65.00 and it ended up in the trash. i just went and bought all the pieces from honda instead. hope this helps

Re: After Market Dash Kit For Stereo?

too me if ur gonna put a aftermarket dash kit, i think the would look better if u put a double din touch screen radio in.....i looked at the the single one and it look pretty ugly to me....but in the other hand the factory radio look nice and the 350w system is alright with some aftermarket speaker and sub and u would have a awsome system
