Rep Power: 0 2006 Civic LX Won't Turnover
Hello. I have a new battery and have experienced over the last week weaker starting. I was able to jump it the last few days in an attempt to get to the weekend in order to troubleshoot it myself or take it to get it checked out. Now I can't even jump start it. Obviously I suspect the alternator since the battery seems to check out but I'm stumped as to why it won't take a jump. Any suggestions on how to get it started? Or do I just assume it's the alternator and replace? Or?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

The alternator does not start the engine. The alternator recharges the battery and powers the cars electrical system while the engine is running.
The battery and starter are the components involved in starting the engine.
IS the battery good?
Is the battery fully charged?
Is the starter bad?

You are correct....and you gave me the right direction to go. It is the starter. Thank you very much for leading me to the correct item to check.
