Help, small flashlight fell into air-intake resonator

Hi , I'm new to this forum, thought this would be a good place to get advice before going to the dealer. To make a long story short I was switching out the low beam headlamp on the drivers side of my 2013 civic LX, when The bulb fell out of my hand & down into the engine bay. I couldn't see anything so I got out a small flash light to locate it, after locating it I placed the flashlight just above where the battery is ,when I slid down & fell into the air intake. It went all the way down into the resonator. My question is what effect will this have on the air flow & if this needs immediate attention. just looking for advice on the best course of action to take.

Re: Help, small flashlight fell into air-intake resonator

If it was small, it probably won't hurt anything. The chamber it went into is used for sound dampening, and even if the engine could suck hard enough to draw it up it would never get past the air filter.

You might try using a magnet (on a stick, string, or hose) to retrieve the flashlight if it is made of steel?

unfortunately is not metal, here's a pic what it looks like. so it would be OK to leave it for now.

Go after it with a shop-vac?

I guess you'll find out tomorrow if that thing is big enough to cause a restriction.
