Googling various sources seems to indicate that it has 8 total airbags: 2 front (L/R), 2 front side (L/R), and 2 front side curtain (L/R) and 2 rear side curtain (L/R). Does this sound right?

And do the front side airbags come out of the front seats? Would there be some sort of marking on the front seats if there are?

Only 2 side curtain, each side has one long bag covering front and rear areas.... so that would be 6 bags total in the car.
plus
2 front belt tensioners
2 front buckle tensioners
and crash data recorder


Yes, 2 side bags --in the front seat backs, outboard side, yes the seats should be labeled as such on the covers with a sewn in tag along a seam somewhere fairly obvious

I downloaded an owners manual and got the number/types of airbags from there (although I didn't see the nice diagram of the seat airbag tag) but just wanted to confirm as I wasn't sure about the seat airbag.
