Rep Power: 0 Key fobs won't open trunk
Hey all!
I just bought my first car ever a few weeks ago. It's a lightly used 2012 Honda Civic LX. I really like it, except for one little thing...the trunk release button on my key fobs don't work
I'm confused because the door lock and unlock buttons do work. And both of my master keys have the same issue. The trunk release button does nothing, but the other buttons work. I'm not terribly worried about the problem, but it is a little inconvenient to have to use the trunk release inside the cabin any time I want to use the trunk. Unfortunately, there is no keyhole to manually open the trunk from the outside. (Whose silly idea was it to take that off? )
Do any of you have the same problem or have any idea what the problem could be? Not only is this my first car, it's my first time dealing with power everything, which makes me miss the old 1996 Accord I learned to drive in. Keyholes and window cranks were awesome and lasted forever!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Key fobs won't open trunk
I know you have to hold the trunk button down longer to get it to pop, longer than it takes for the door locks to operate....Like 2 or 3 seconds.
