Unhappy Question regarding MPG

Hey guys, I have a 2010 Civic LX-S
recently I noticed my car can only do ~260miles with full tank of gas (mostly local with some freeway+no ac)
that's about 19-20mpg
if I didn't remember wrong, I used to be able to get 330miles with full tank of gas when I first bought this car

How many miles do you get with a full tank?

Re: Question regarding MPG

Where do you get 19-20?
Car has a 10.5 gallon tank(unless the 2010 is different from the '06)
260, even if you were running down every last drop, would still be around 24 at the lowest.
You are probably getting much closer to 30 than you think, and remember that in the winter tire pressure drops, and fuel mixes change, which can both negatively effect mpg.

I get my best mileage in the summer, usually right about 30-35, sometimes as low as 26, and one time I got 430 miles on one tank(all highway 55 mph for 350 of those miles)

Use this to track your fuel, and follow their tips, before you assume you have a mpg problem, link is to my page, my 430 mile tank was before i signed up:

EDIT: Apparently the tank size is 13 gallons...I never get more than 10 in it though?
Guess even with only 3 blips showing on the meter there is still a bit of gas in there...

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: Question regarding MPG

Figure up your actual miles per gallon, not miles per 'randomly used and filled tank'.

It'll be a lot more accurate.

Any time you have the engine running but you are not moving, your mileage is dropping.
Stop and go kills gas mileage. Period.
The best way you can get decent mileage is to keep moving steadily.

My best gas mileage seems to come at the rock steady speed of 45-50 MPH.
