Thumbs down bent over knealed down for 10 minutes.! installing Honda Floor Mat.

This weekend I was at the car wash getting ready to wash my car but
before that was gonna happen whent for the mats found my self knealed down
bent over on one Knea for 10 minutes.. on 1 mat trying to get the mat out and back on the hooks that's on the Civic"s floor. I mean it was realy hard. it seems like getting it off aint too bad but putting them back on whoa..! what a task somebody

please

tell me theres an easyer method Perhaps I don't now.

I don't have one to look at (it's 10 degrees F outside and I'm not goin there), but I'll guess.....sorta pinch, bend and fold the mat over the hooks?


Surely it can't be all that hard if we can get our lazy minimum wage clean up guys to put them in. LOL

on a 2008 sedan civic its hard .. even with the seat all the
way back bent over on one knea !

I have a 2006, but I assume the 2008 isn't too different...
Did you raise the seat up? On my car there is a lever you can "pump" to raise the seat straight up a few inches, makes it much easier to get to.
The lever(on my car) is to the left side, near the lever to lean the seat back, i believe pushing the lever down raises the seat up, but if you can find/if your car has it I'm sure trial and error will help.

However, I never have any issue getting it in or out, perhaps the mat is just stiff from never being pulled out before?

Googled, this car isn't the exact same as yours, but your seat should have the same lever:

If it is that tough take side cutters and snip the top forward tips off.

I have all weather over factory mats with no problems in 2010.
