Front fog lights
OK, I bought my Civic on Saturday (23rd March) and it doesn't have front fog lights, just the blanking plates.
It obviously didn't have front fogs as standard as there is no front fog switch on the light stalk.
I would like to add front fogs, so besides sourcing them (maybe a scrapyard or ebay) what would be the best way of installing the wiring? I was thinking maybe wire them up to high beam but then that's probably not the best idea as high beam in fog just reflects back at you...
So aside from adding a switch of some kind in the dash, can anyone offer an alternative?
Thanks in advance,
Justin
[edit] it's a 2007 i-CDTi

If you buy the oem kit, all the wires for it are already installed in the car, you will have to add the switch to the light control but it comes with the kit, should all be basically plug and play.. if you go aftermarket then there are several ways you can do it.. I used the fuse tap where the actually fog light fuse should go.. also check out this thread from 8th civic.

Looking through the links, seems overly complicated - I thought it would be fairly easy (I don't know why lol)...
May have to wait a while as £225 is a lot of dosh and got holiday spending money to save first

Thats, why i just got a set of aftermarket LED lights, I ran the ground to the battery and they power wire to the fuse box inside the car. You can use the spare spot or you can use a tap for any other fuse, so they come on when the car does..

Re: Front fog lights
That's not a Civic like mine, mine is the one with triangular fog lights.
To be honest, I thought it was against UK law to have them on all the time?
And... would prefer it to be as original as possible (yep, Mr. Boring lol)
Here's my civic 30 minutes before I drove it away:

ahh, I am unsure with the european model. I am sorry. But as for your fog lights if you get the OEM kits, it will have everything you need. And since it is an option for your model car then most if the wiring should already be there, the do it yourself would no change too too much.. But eitheway its a pain to do yourself..
