Rep Power: 0 Honda Civic 2006 possible I-shift issue? clunk/slow acceleration
I recently bought a Hoda civic 2006 I-shift EX model... Only recently have I been seeing some possible issue that I hope you can advise on... 3 things:
1) when it automatically shifts between gears I hear a clunk/clicking sound, this can be heard also if put into reverse from neutral on a normal day start up...
2) when I put it into reverse and apply the accelerator it takes time to even move, sometimes it stutters and gives the impression it is about to stall??
3) At a traffic light or about to pull off... it takes some time to actually move, when i say time i mean about 5-7 seconds... is this normal? Also I experience stuttering with this issue as well...
Hope you guys can help!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

I-shift
What country are you in?
Tell more about the car itself,
What engine size/displacement?
What transmission- CVT or automatic?
Wait a minute.......
Googled:
i-shift seems to be a computer clutched and shifted manual, with some poor reviews.

As the last link suggests: Go to a dealer and drive an identical car, see if that car drives the same. Get yours evaluated or fixed by their service department.
