Hi everyone,


I am soon to buy my first car.. After doing my research I have decided that the best choice for me is to buy a honda civic. I still have a few questions if you guys can help me out.

1) What is the main difference between honda 06- 09.. I can't afford anything past 09.. Are there certain years which are known to give more problems?
2) Since I'll be buying a used car, what things I should check out to make sure I am not getting ripped off... Also anything I should be aware of.. Would really appreciate it..
3) What is the average life of a honda (assuming maintaining it well).. I see that a lot of the cars in my price range are Honda 06 150k kilometres.. Is that too much?
4) Manual vs automatic... I really love manual however besides driving a manual a couple times I've never driven one.. I know a lot of the manual vs auto is based on the person.. What I want to know is that is there a difference in life / problems.. Like are manuals known to cause more problems, or shorter life span and such..
