09 automatic shifting issue

Il press the gas and sometimes it will hard shift or the rpms will shoot up after i brake and it downshifts, like i will let go of the gas and it will stay up for several seconds before it falls. If i press the gas and let go quickly while it does this sometimes it fixs it. Not too sure what the issue is but my milage has been really shitty as well.... I just got a transmission flush (30,000 mile maintanance) and the car barley gets like 300 miles a tank.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Is google not turned on over there yet?
Literally, search for top tier gas, it's the first hit.

http://www.toptiergas.com/

For the car issues, I'd suggest driving an identical car to see if it might be normal. I know I have been able to make the trans do seemingly odd things at the right speed/load, oftentimes when going around a corner.

Go around the corner, hit the gas pedal, back off the gas a little, and the computer gets confused and doesn't know what you are going to do next.

Re: 09 automatic shifting issue

The revs hanging when you think they should not be are a bit strange, but that's grade logic for you.

Re: 09 automatic shifting issue

On my commute there is the righthand down hill corkscrew on-ramp that if empty and I round it fast, really makes the grade logic computer lock the transmission for about 3 seconds at the bottom - which is level and straight road.
I think the sensor may get literally hung up or stuck - possible ?
This only happens when I go around and down quick enough.

I have an 2007 with about 35,000 miles at this point.

Could this be the same thing you are experiencing ?

Re: 09 automatic shifting issue

On my 2010 it will sometimes hang at high revs quite a while on level ground (after leveling out from decline) and hardly any accelerator applied. Has done it since new.
