I tried to search the site but my iPhone runs really slow on this site, some things won't ever show up. This is my wifes car so if it can be fixed I need to fix it. After 5 years it's gotten old lol. Last I heard it's the coolant run ing through the TB and it can be solved by pypassing it. What's needed before I go in blind and bypass something that shouldn't be. Will this stop the stalling on a cold engine?

idle will be even worse if you bypass the coolant hoses to the tb. the iac valve needs coolant temp to work properly and adjust down the idle as the car warms up. if you just have rough idle, try cleaning out the intake system parts like throttle body and related valves. prolly just gunked up with carbon deposits. it only takes several yrs to happen. the iac valve is likely clogged or unable to move properly if the car stalls in the cold. thats the only thing letting air in the engine so it stays running.
