Unusual Vibration in 2007 Civic EX Coupe

I have a 5-speed manual transmission and it makes an annoying vibrating sound when (i) I operate it in reverse or (ii) there's backward pressure on the engine (meaning if I accelerate then let off the accelerator or am going downhill and allowing the engine to regulate my speed). The vibration is clearly on the passenger side front wheel.

I took it to a mechanic of sorts and he first mentioned that it might be a wheel bearing, then said I need to replace my CV axle. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe a motor mount fracture ? Check that as well.

Can you tell passenger wheel noise from the passenger side of the engine noise while driving ?
