I was the same way with my 8th gen 2010 coming from an 05. Great ride, more power love the 5 speed automatic. The longer you drive it the better it gets.

That's good to hear. I just traded in my '08 for a '12, and after my first 3 hour drive, spent half the night thinking, "What have I done?" I usually have buyer's remorse, but this was a bad one; kept wondering if I should have stayed with Honda given the quality of the competition and the poor reviews given by the journalists and many within Honda forums of the '12.

I think I will grow to appreciate this car as well, but glad to hear that you're actually enjoying the car, as not too many people have admitted that (yet).
