Rep Power: 0 metal clicking noise coming from front end
Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum stuff, so please take it easy on me. I recently purchased a 2006 honda civic SI with 58,000 miles on it. i have been driving it for about a month now and i am hearing a noise coming from the front end. It sounds like a clicking noise but it is not constant. Actually it is hard to pinpoint exactly when it happens. What i do know is, i can hear it at low speads usually when accelerating. It will make the noise when turning or going straight, so i do not feel like the CV joint is failing. I hear only a few clicks then it is fine. It does not affect performance, i just want to make sure that it is not something major. Any help would be greatly apprecaited. please let me know if more infromation is required for a proper diagnosis.
I am mechanically inclined, but not with honda.
Thanks in advance.

Definitely sounds like a CV joint on its way out. Mine started out the same way, dude. No change in performance or handling. Then it started getting worse. Take a look at the boots and checking for tears, grease, etc. .

yeah easiest way is check the boots. if they are greasy then they are messed. if boots are okay, maybe the LCA bushings are torn and the metal is banging around with no more rubber left.
