Rep Power: 0 2011 Price question
First off I want to say Hi to everyone.. I'm new to Honda's and will be looking to pick my first Civic up very shortly.
I know that the 2012 models are coming out very soon and was wondering what you guys think the 2011 EX Coupes will go for price was once the 2012's hit the floor. What do you think a good price to shoot for would be once the dealers are trying to clear their inventory of them?
Also, I am up for a slightly used (Less then 10k miles) 2011....
My price range I am shooting for is around 15k for 10k or less miles, and 16.5k if it is brand new.
Do you think that is possible once the new models hit the streets?
(Also, me and my girlfriend just bought a 7k 2010 EX Coupe for 15.6k.... Was that a good deal or so-so?)
Thanks for any and all help!!

15.6k sounds like a good price to me for your gf's EX...Where are you located?
16.5 for brand new sounds like a screaming deal to me too...Those prices sound like the stripped out models with no options

Re: 2011 Price question
I usually keep an eye on carsdirect.com to see what cars are currently going for.Civics have been steadily going up in price over the last 2 months or so. Probably a combination of the rising gas prices and the earthquakes. I bought my new Civic EX auto sedan in San Diego about a month and a half ago for $18.7k and it took me about 5 hours of negotiating to get that. Cars direct says the cars are going for closer to 20.1k right now. The 2012 civics aren't much of a change from the last gen. I think 16.5k for a new EX is a bit optimistic. I think you might be able to find one for around 18-18.2 once the 2012's hit.

Re: 2011 Price question
I just paid $14,644 + $750 freight for a new 2011 Civic LX Coupe with 2 miles on it, not a demo. Also got .09 % financing for 5 years.
List was $19,100 so I think I got a end of the model year end of month swell deal

Re: 2011 Price question
Out the door price i paid 14,774 for mine 4 months ago. Same thing 2011 Civic LX Coupe, but I had 9 miles on it (After test drive). Honda Auto Finance did 0.0% on the loan.... cool thing is the KBB value is at 17K. Also to the original poster the new models are coming out which will make out 8th gen become less attractive there for bringing down the value. I worked 3 dealer's against one another to get the best deal possible. 120K mile/ 6 year bumper to bumper warranty $0, free oil changes for life, that i own the vehicle, at any Honda Dealer within 48 States. Sticker was 19K, out the door at 14,744 with 0 down and no trade in. It took me 3 weeks of haggling and 3 pulls on my credit but patience paid off.

I really don't know how you guys are getting those prices. I started looking for a 2011 Coupe in March. Found 20 in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. None had first offers under $20K. Negotiated using the NRA pricing sheets, and finally got one down to $19.2K That one was in Northern Michigan and sold before I could go look at it. Back to the bargaining table and got several down under $19K, but none lower. Wasn't going to pay that price, so gave up. Started looking again in June. Prices went UP!!! Finally found one (last in stock) about 30 miles north of me. Called the dealer and was told that they just took a deposit on it. He called me back the next day to say that the deal fell thru due to financing. I hustled out to look at it. Priced at sticker!! NRA pricing guide got me down to a bit over $17K, +TTL and no farther. Took it and am glad I did. The 2011's up here are now selling for OVER MSRP. Seems that people do not like the 2012"s? Or is it he availability issue? Any way, that is the best we seem to be able to do in Michigan.

That is pretty crazy, 17K? There must not be alot of the cars up there, and demand pricing seems to be the issue. What model did you end up getting for 17K? Please tell me it came with NAV, and 120K bumper to bumper for that price?

Nope, that's the car, period. Average asking price here right now for the 2011's is sticker or above. Most are selling for a touch over 18.5K. This is for the LX model. I found a DX that sold for 16.9, and that was considered a great deal. We have a few 2012's in the area, but I did not like the look or ride of them. And NO coupes! I just ran another search for 2011 coupes in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. Found only 3 in stock. That doesn't mean that there aren't some out there that are not showing up on the search engine, but there are not many left and the problems in Japan have slowed things down due to parts problems. This has been the situation up here for a few years now. Few cars and lots of buyers. Used Civic Coupes are going for just a few hundred less than new. Demand is up for this little car in our area.

Re: 2011 Price question
I might just have to take mine up there and sell it. Then come back here and start over again. I turbo charged my 11 coupe already and just broke 7600 miles lol. Think it would sell?
