i have an 08 civic with 41,000 miles. when i first got the car, new, i was getting anywhere from 36-42 mpg. all my driving in highway miles going about 70mph. ever since i got over about 30,000 miles i have been getting anywhere from 29-31 mpg. i am doing the same driving and do not floor it or don't go above 3000 rpm. I just got new tires and nothing shows up on the dash that there is something wrong. any help would be appreciated

short ram intake works better for mileage. it draws warmer air from the engine bay and this causes the computer to inject less fuel.

1. Air filter
2. Changed type of fuel
3. Changed type of oil (or viscosity)
4. Changed driving habits (you said you didn't though)
5. O2 sensor/injectors/fuel pump/computer
6. Something causing drag (emergency brake, wheel bearings, alignment, engine wear.....).
7. Winter temperatures, some additives are added to fuels so they don't freeze (something I heard) causing lower mpg's.
8. Additional weight
Since your loosing 5 - 10 mpg's something has changed, but it would be hard to figure out unless you car throughs a code.
