Rep Power: 0 06 Civic Hybrid Rear Suspension Defect
I bought a used 06 Hybrid a couple of years ago and did not discover that it had a rear suspension design defect until recently. Because of mileage Honda will not correct it even though they did for owners who complained within the warranty period. The defect involves the rear upper control arm that causes too much negative camber that results in abnormal wear on the inside of the rear tires. This was corrected in the 08 models. Does anyone know of an inexpensive way to correct this problem?

aftermarket camber kit and an alignment once its installed should work. or just call corporate honda and ask for a goodwill repair. they might pay for some or all of the bill.

Honda finally took care of the problem and covered everything but the alignment cost. It took filing a complaint through the BBB and others before they agreed to cover it.
